The Great Reno Balloon Race

If you happen to be in Reno around Sept, do not miss the Great Baloon Race at any cost. The Great Reno Balloon race is held at the Rancho San Rafael Park, and is a Reno tradition that has been around for close to a quarter century. The sight is free for everybody, and is a ton of fun.

Rivers and Lakes

Reno has a whole range of water bodies the most important – the Lake Tahoe, the Pyramid Lake and the Truckee River. These bodies of water are popular with locals and travelers alike for the whole list of water sports and activities it is possible to indulge here. Swimming is of course popular, as is jet skiing, parasailing, wake boarding, fishing and water skiing. Kayaking is also a popular activity at the Truckee River.
